The question of whether President Biden would potentially pardon his son, Hunter Biden, has finally come to light. Here’s what President Biden said.

The administration’s position became clearer on Friday when White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre firmly stated that President Biden would not pardon his son, even if he were to be convicted on gun charges.
The Charges
This statement comes in response to Hunter Biden’s indictment on three felony gun charges, which allege that he illegally purchased a firearm while under the influence of drugs.
Maximum Sentence of Ten Years
These charges could result in a maximum sentence of ten years if Hunter is convicted.
This Has Happened Before
This is not the first time the question of a potential pardon for Hunter Biden has arisen.
The issue was initially addressed in July when similar queries were posed to the White House press secretary.
The Answer
However, Jean-Pierre said, “I’ve answered this question before. It was asked of me not too long ago, a couple of weeks ago, and I was very clear, and I said no.”
Hunter Biden’s indictment on the gun charges has generated significant public attention and debate.

His legal team has vigorously denied the charges and raised questions about their constitutionality.
Unjustified Charge
Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, argued, “It is a unique and unjustified charge. Hunter owned an unloaded gun for 11 days.
There has never been a charge like this that has been brought in the United States.”

In addition to the federal investigations, Hunter Biden is also under scrutiny from a Republican-led House investigation into his previous business dealings.
Republicans have alleged that President Biden used his political influence to secure lucrative deals for his son.
