Date at a Fancy Restaurant
Lori and her date had a great day, and to finish the day off, he took her out to a fancy restaurant.
Drinks and Great Conversation
Lori says that it was a really lovely location. They ordered their drinks and had a good conversation.
What Would They Have to Start?
The story began when they were struggling to choose an appetizer.
After ages of indecision, they decided to order salads.
Dressing the Same
When the waiter asked them what kind of dressing they would like, her date answered that they’d have ranch dressing.
An Alternative Offered
But the server responded that they actually make all of their dressings in-house and currently, ranch wasn’t available.
But the champagne vinaigrette was available, and it was fancier.
He Wanted a Naked Salad
Her date said, “Okay, I’ll just get it without the dressing,” because he loves ranch so much.
Their salads were placed on the table and they continued their conversation.
Be Right Back
Things took a turn when he apologized and said that he’d return quickly!
Lori thought he must be going to the restroom.
He Got in His Car
But he took a turn and left for his car. Maybe he wanted to retrieve his jacket?
But to her surprise, he drove off!
Had She Been Ditched?
Lori was shocked! He hadn’t said where he was going at all. Still, she waited.
She Was Imagining Different Scenarios
Maybe he was having some kind of emergency, she reasoned. After all, he had said that he’d be coming back.
The Return of the Date
After about 25 minutes of waiting, he finally returned. He entered the parking lot and came back with something in his hand.
What Did He Have in His Sweaty Grasp?
Lori was trying to see what it was, but couldn’t see through the bag.
You’ve Guessed It – Ranch!
Finally, her date came to her, sat down, and took out a bottle of Kraft Ranch dressing.
Lori’s thoughts? “Oh, okay, this is weird.”
Let It Go
She thought he must really like ranch dressing and decided to let it go.
But she had no idea just how weird things were about to get.
Let’s Not Mention What Just Happened
Then they received their main course, and Lori was making an effort to refrain from mentioning the dressing.
He Smothered Everything in It
But the issue got out of hand when he started grabbing the ranch and pouring it into everything!
He poured it on his steak and his mashed potatoes – the only thing he didn’t put the ranch on was his beverage.
It’s a Huge Red Flag
It was all she could do to bite her tongue and not say anything!
