Elon Musk only wanted the best for his daughter, which is why he sent her to a private school in Santa Monica. The school teaches students from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
The School Brainwashed Musk’s Daughter
Musk also blamed the same school for “brainwashing” his daughter into “thinking that anyone rich is evil.” Musk said he paid $50,000 per year for his daughter to attend the elite private school.
Woke Mind Virus
Musk called his transgender daughter a “communist” and said that she severed ties with him after Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences “infected” her with the “woke mind virus.”
The School Is to Blame
He partially blames the private school for the estranged relationship he has with his daughter.
Not Everyone at Crossroads Is Brainwashed
@EGardenswartz posted on X that he “graduated Crossroads in 2022” after attending the private school since kindergarten. He said he was “not brainwashed,” nor were any of his peers.
Elon Musk Autobiography
Walter Isaacson wrote a biography titled “Elon Musk.” Isaacson followed Musk closely for two years while writing the book. He attended meetings with Musk and interviewed his friends and adversaries.
Musk’s Oldest Child Transitions
In the biography, Isaacson wrote that Musk’s “anti-woke” beliefs stemmed from the decision of his oldest child to transition from Xavier to Jenna at 16-years-old.
“Don’t Tell My Dad”
Jenna sent a text to the wife of Musk’s brother saying, “Hey, I’m transgender, and my name is now Jenna.” She also said, “Don’t tell my dad.”
Rich People Are Evil
Isaacson’s biography said that Musk tried to stay positive after finding out, but his daughter became a “fervent Marxist and broke off all relations with him.”
Musk said his daughter “went beyond socialism” and became “a full communist.” According to Musk, Jenna thinks all rich people are “evil.”
Musk Buys Twitter
Jenna’s transition inspired Musk to purchase the social media app Twitter as part of his mission to “stomp out wokeness.” Musk felt that Twitter had also been infected with the “woke mind virus.”
She Wants Nothing to Do With Her Father
Musk’s daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, was granted a petition to change her gender and her name.
She hoped this change would “demolish any connection between herself and her biological father.”
Painful
The broken relationship has pained Musk “more than when he suffered the infant death of his firstborn child,” he said.
Despite making “many overtures,” Jenna doesn’t want anything to do with her father.
Sad Situation
The reactions on Musk’s platform, X, formerly known as Twitter, were mixed. Some called the situation “very sad,” while others sided with his daughter.
Is Musk to Blame
On X, a user named Lexa said “I’d change my name too if he was the sperm donor.” Another user named Mike said, “One wonders if Vivian doesn’t think rich people are evil because…of her interactions with you, Elon Musk, and the people you are close with.”
But He’s the Richest Man on the Planet
Gray Grantham couldn’t understand why Musk’s daughter would want to “disown a parent who is the richest person on the planet.”
Lack of Involvement
Other people said the severed relationship probably has more to do with “time not well spent” and a lack of involvement on Musk’s part on his children’s upbringing.
Parenting Advice for Musk
The comments on X also provided Musk with some parenting advice. Janet suggested Musk “allow his daughter to experience life” and she might “learn to appreciate what her father has done for her.”
Cut Her Off
Another person said the answer was “simple.” This X user said that Musk needed to “completely cut her off financially and let her live her life in poverty.”
