Kandiss Taylor, who unsuccessfully campaigned to become the Governor of Georgia in 2022, put up a strange social media post this week that featured her taking shots at Taylor Swift for “celebrating witchcraft.” Taylor said she is “beyond disappointed’ in Swift and called on her to “repent” right away.
Kandiss Taylor Is Back in the News
Kandiss Taylor failed to become the governor of Georgia in 2022 after campaigning for the position, so she hasn’t been in the spotlight much in 2023.
She did, however, make a few headlines for sharing her strange thoughts on globes earlier this year (one example: “Kandiss Taylor Says Globes Are Anti-Flat Earth Brainwashing”), and now, she’s starting to make them again for jumping on X, formerly known as Twitter, and taking shots at one of the biggest pop stars in the world.
Calling Out Out Taylor Swift
Taylor took to X to call out Taylor Swift for, of all things, being an alleged witch.
Taylor seemed to take issue with Swift putting up an X post of her own thanking her fans for heading to theaters to see her new ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ movie and doing things like “dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for.”
“What Is Wrong With You?”
In a lengthy post that Taylor sent out on X, she let it be known that she wasn’t a huge fan of Swift showing appreciation for her fans “casting spells” in theaters.
“Did you really just praise your fans for making videos with your music and ‘casting spells’ @taylorswift13?” Taylor wrote. “What is wrong with you?”
Taylor Admitted to Being a “Swiftie” in the Past
In her post, Taylor didn’t shy away from letting her 46,000 X followers know that she used to sing and dance at the altar of Swift. “I was a fan from day one and loved how much you grew in your singing ability,” she wrote.
“I love that you write your own music. My daughter has grown up dancing with me to your songs, singing to the top of our lungs, and attending your concerts.”
“I Didn’t Want to Believe It”
Taylor also wrote about how she’s tried to ignore those who have told her about some of the things they’ve seen and heard while attending Swift’s most recent tour.
She wrote: “I have heard from others that attended this last tour that you had some satanic nods in your show. I didn’t want to believe it. After all, I know you’ve claimed to love Jesus. I know you claimed to be a Christian.”
Taylor Accused Swift of “Celebrating Witchcraft”
But after saying all that, Taylor took the gloves off. She went as far as to accuse Swift of “celebrating witchcraft” by making her “casting spells” comment.
“Now, you’ve not only drifted and backslid,” Taylor wrote. “You’re celebrating witchcraft.”
Taylor Also Accused Swift of Poisoning Her Fans’ Minds
Taylor didn’t stop there, either. She also let Swift know that she thinks she’s doing a big disservice to her fans. “You’re influencing innocent minds to be enticed with the dark side of spirituality,” she wrote.
“The Word of God that you once confessed is clear. It is better to tie a [millstone] around your neck than to let one of the children fall.”
“Beyond Disappointed”
Taylor went on to reveal that she is upset with what Swift has become. “I am so beyond disappointed,” she wrote. “I am literally SMH.”
Taylor Told Swift She Should “Repent”
From there, Taylor shared some words of advice with Swift. She called on her to “repent” and to use her platform to do good.
“I pray that you repent,” Taylor wrote. “I pray that something pricks your heart. You have been gifted a HUGE platform. It didn’t just happen. God breathed on this.”
Taylor Suggested Swift’s Historic Run Could End Soon
Taylor also mentioned that she thinks Swift’s run as a pop star could come to a catastrophic end if she doesn’t stay away from witchcraft.
“He can remove His hand and leave you to the witchcraft and your own devices,” she wrote. “Let’s see how much Lucifer cares about you or your career. I promise. He doesn’t.
Swift Hasn’t Responded to Taylor
There is a very good chance that Swift doesn’t have the slightest idea who Taylor is. So, she is yet to respond to Taylor or her claims of Swift being actively involved in witchcraft.
Swift’s Fans Had Some Things to Say
The “Swifties” were out in full force following Taylor’s X post, though. Many of them responded with some version of “Sit down, Karen.”
But they also took things a step further than that while blasting Taylor for publicly shaming their Taylor.
Swifties Questioned Taylor’s Intelligence
Some Swifties who responded to Taylor’s post called her intelligence into question. “Are you really that stupid?” one X user wrote.
“Don’t answer that. Get a real education. You only write this based upon the fact that you want more followers…”
They Also Wondered Aloud Who Taylor Is
Other Swifties pulled the “Who are you?” card on Taylor and accused her of being a clout chaser.
“Nobody even knows who you are,” another X user wrote. “But cool story, pick a fight with Taylor on the internet for clout you z list nobody.”
They Even Warned Taylor About How This Could Backfire
There were also a few Swifties who brought up the potential political ramifications that Taylor’s words could have.
“Taylor Swift got thousands of her fans to register to vote,” an X user wrote, “and I can guarantee you none of them will be voting Republican.”
