In a recent op-ed for The Washington Post, David Ignatius voiced his reservations, stating, “I don’t think Biden and Vice President Harris should run for reelection.”

He pointed out that Biden would be 82 years old at the start of a potential second term.

Ignatius went on to say, “It’s painful to say that, given my admiration for much of what they have accomplished.

But if he and Harris campaign together in 2024, I think Biden risks undoing his greatest achievement — which was stopping [former President] Trump.”

Representative Dean Phillips of Minnesota also expressed doubts, telling NBC News that other candidates have a better chance of winning without the age-related concerns associated with the current president.
