Despite his company’s daily food allowance of $60, John’s thrift led him to spend a modest $25-30 per day.
His highest expenditure barely scraped $50, a testament to his careful spending habits in a foreign land.
A Clients Constantly Complained
In a project that dragged longer than anticipated, with the client’s incessant complaints (mostly unjustified), John’s company suggested a new strategy.
Splashing the Cash Was Meant to Calm Him Down
John was advised to wine and dine the client to alleviate the growing tension.
A budget of $200-$250 was proposed for the occasion.
Dinner Without Booze Was Light on the Wallet
