The Military Taught Him How to Make His Bullies Pay, Literally!

Bullies, pay up! This is a story of revenge that took place in 2016. We’ve all encountered bullies; luckily, this guy was able to get revenge on his!

Military Enlistment

The original poster (OP) lives in a country where military enlistment is compulsory after turning 18 or after finishing high school or university.

So after finishing his university studies, OP enlisted in the military at the age of 25, expecting a good experience. However, he soon realized that the military could also be a bittersweet experience due to the bullies he encountered there.

During the 30-day basic training, OP got to know some great people and had a lot of fun. However, after basic training, they were sent to different units in different cities.

A Few Rotten Apples

OP ended up at a decent unit, but there were a few rotten apples among his fellow soldiers and superiors. In the military, there were official ranks, but there was also an unofficial rank among soldiers known as the “old-timers.”

Basically, the longer a soldier served, the more their “status” was elevated. This meant that the older soldiers had more privileges, such as picking better chores, better hours of guard duty, and the ability to slack off.

The newer soldiers, like OP, had to do more menial tasks. It was an iron-clad rule, and OP could understand it since the older soldiers had been there longer.

They Let Their Elevated Status Go To Their Heads

Unfortunately, some soldiers let their elevated status get to their heads and thought they were rulers or something. OP’s first two months in the unit were hellish, as the bullies gave him all their chores, wouldn’t respect his efforts of cleaning and tidying up the outpost, and hurled insults at him for being overweight.

They were demeaning jerks, and it wasn’t in OP’s nature to be confrontational. He had a tendency to suppress his feelings and binge eat as a result, which only added to his weight gain. Even if he talked to his superiors, they would only give the bullies a slap on the wrist, and OP would end up in a worse predicament.

A New Assignment

Fortunately, things turned around for OP. The soldier in charge of the military recreation center was about to be discharged, so they needed a replacement. Guess who was selected to replace him? OP himself! There were three crucial things he needed to know about the military recreation center:

  1. There was a debt ledger where soldiers and superiors could buy things and pay at a later date.
  2. Every month, they had to meet with the superior in charge of the center to balance the books and plan buying supplies.
  3. In order to get your discharge papers, you need the signature of the soldier in charge of the center to certify that you don’t owe anything. Otherwise, you would have to pay first before leaving.

Officially, the balance of the ledger was perfect, but unofficially, from one soldier to another, there was a 35-euro deficiency due to poor management.

He Suddenly Had New Power

Naturally, each new replacement, in this case, OP, had to deal with this hot potato. He had to either fill the hole out of his own pocket or let the next person deal with it.

However, instead of taking the easy way out, OP decided to use his newfound power to put a stop to the vicious cycle of bullying.

One by one, OP started to get revenge on his bullies. He would give them a watered-down concoction when they wanted espresso at 1:00 a.m. When they wanted coffee and other stuff simultaneously but didn’t have money, he would take his sweet time, tell them a superior had priority, and tend to them when he had time.

He would serve them cold toast with half the ingredients and coffee with only three-quarters of a cup.

He’d put that extra quarter in a cup and make another cup without using a new coffee capsule or spoons of coffee and sell or drink the fifth one.

He Sought to End the Cycle of Bullying

OP felt empowered, and with great power comes great responsibility. He wanted to put an end to the vicious cycle of bullying, and this was his way of doing it.

His bullies, who used to demean him, now had to come to him for their daily needs, and he controlled their access to the supplies they needed. He did not hesitate to use his newfound power to make his bullies suffer the way they had made him suffer.

One day, one of his bullies told him to shut up when he tried to bring up his total debt. But the OP wasn’t going to be intimidated anymore. He told the bully that he would have to pay his debt before he could leave the military. Without OP’s signature, the bully would be stuck there forever!

OP had the power now, and he was going to use it to his advantage. He wasn’t going to let anyone walk all over him anymore. He had a newfound confidence and sense of control, and he was going to make the most of it.

What do you think of his revenge? Bullies are everywhere, so sticking up for yourself in situations like this is essential!
