In a shocking revelation, a man has come forward to share his story of disbelief and heartbreak after discovering that his girlfriend, Emily, was not only cheating on him but was also married to multiple men.
A Blossoming Relationship
As 43-year-old Wayne Harper unraveled the layers of deception, it became apparent that Horne was one of Britain’s most prolific bigamists, with a total of seven husbands.
Harper and Horne’s paths crossed unexpectedly when they were both hospitalized at the same time 14 years ago..
Harper was recovering from a cycling accident, while Horne was undergoing a minor operation.
Their relationship blossomed, and they spent over 18 months together.
However, Harper’s world came crashing down when he discovered Horne’s affair and made the difficult decision to end their relationship.
Little did Harper know that the revelation of Horne’s affair was merely the tip of the iceberg.
It soon emerged that she had not one, but five husbands, unbeknownst to him during their time together.
During the time of their breakup, Horne had been living with Harper and his family, claiming she had nowhere else to go.
Harper’s father, Dennis, described the time Horne spent with them, noting her occasional odd behavior and bouts of depression.
Magnitude of Deceit
In a surprising turn of events, Harper initially considered giving Horne a second chance and even expressed his willingness to support her if she faced legal consequences for her actions.
However, he ultimately changed his mind, recognizing the gravity of the situation and the magnitude of Horne’s deceit.
After Horne left Harper, she went on to marry two more husbands, solidifying her reputation as one of the UK’s most notorious bigamists.
The astonishing extent of Horne’s marital history has been meticulously documented in a show called “The Bigamist Bride: My Five Husbands.”
Marrying Under False Names
Her journey as a serial bigamist began in 1996 at the age of 18 when she married her first husband, Paul Rigby. Over the years, she continued to weave a web of relationships, marrying multiple men under false names and circumstances.
Horne’s encounters with the law began in 2001 when she received a caution for bigamy while working in the adult industry.
Despite this setback, she persisted in her deceitful ways, marrying a succession of unsuspecting men.
The details of her multiple marriages are staggering, including marrying one man just four weeks after meeting him on a train.
In 2012, Horne legally changed her name to Maxine-Accastes Quiberon, perhaps in an attempt to distance herself from her tumultuous past.
Her convoluted journey eventually led to a conviction in 2012, resulting in a 12-month community order with a curfew and a 28-day electronic tag period.
Harper has no idea where she is now.
