“I’m Not Happy About It” – Trump Weighs in on Hunter Biden’s Indictment Claiming the Justice System Is Divided

Former President Donald Trump offered his thoughts on the recent indictment of Hunter Biden on three gun-related charges during this week’s “Meet the Press”. Here’s the full story.

Host Kristin Welker raised a poignant question to Trump, asking, “The president’s son, Hunter Biden, was indicted by a federal grand jury on three gun charges. Given that, Mr. President, can you continue to say that there are two systems of justice?”

The Deal of the Century

In response, Trump said, “Well, I think there’s no question about it. He had a plea deal that was the deal of the century. The art of the deal, you could write a book on it. The art of the deal.”

A Brilliant Judge

“And all of a sudden, it was broken up by a judge who was able to – a brilliant judge, actually, who was able to see through what was happening,” he added.

Trump Shared His Experience

He then drew parallels between his own experiences and those of Hunter Biden, asserting that he had been under investigation since the outset of his political career.

It’s a Very Sad Thing

“I’m not happy about it. Nobody is. It’s a very sad thing. It’s so bad for our country. But you know, if you think about it, I’ve been under investigation from the day I came down the escalator.

A phony investigation. Fake investigations. Investigations that I beat every single time. Still under investigation,” he said.

“It’s a very sad thing. And it’s a slippery slope, and dangerous, very dangerous for our country,” he added.

The Charges

According to the charges against Hunter Biden, two carry a maximum prison sentence of 10 years, while the third is capped at five years.

Additionally, all three charges are associated with a maximum fine of $250,000.

Despite the allegations’ severity, Hunter Biden and his father, President Joe Biden, have refrained from commenting publicly on the situation.

In the wake of the indictment, President Biden appeared to remain focused on his official duties.

During a public address at Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland, just hours after the news of his son’s indictment broke, he did not mention the scandal and seemed to be in good spirits.
