Playboy Magazine has decided to sever ties with adult film star and content creator Mia Khalifa due to her controversial comments supporting Hamas following their surprise attack on Israel.
Facing Backlash
Khalifa, who joined the Playboy Centerfold platform in February 2022, faced backlash for her statements, leading to her removal from the platform.
Playboy’s Response
In an email to subscribers, the Playboy Team explained their decision, citing her “disgusting and reprehensible comments celebrating Hamas’ attacks on Israel” and emphasizing their zero-tolerance policy for hate speech.
Terminating the Relationship
Playboy’s email to subscribers stated, “We are writing today to let you know of our decision to terminate Playboy’s relationship with Mia Khalifa, including deleting Mia’s Playboy channel on our creator platform.”
Zero-Tolerance
The magazine also stressed that they, “ encourage free expression and constructive political debate, but we have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech.”
Now, Mia Khalifa’s page on the Centerfold platform is no longer accessible, displaying a “Not Found” graphic to users.
Wrong Side of Apartheid
The controversy erupted after Khalifa posted a series of tweets expressing her support for Hamas.
She stated, “If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid, and history will show that in t3ime.”
A Renaissance Painting
Khalifa also referred to a photo of Hamas terrorists as a “Renaissance painting” and made a controversial comment about filming attacks.
Calling Out Kylie
Furthermore, Khalifa criticized Kylie Jenner for her stance on the Middle East conflict.
She questioned Jenner’s ability to address geopolitical tensions effectively, suggesting she should provide a coherent opinion to her large following.
True Journalism
Mia wrote, “If true journalism exists, the next person to talk to Kylie Jenner will ask for her opinion on geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and not break eye contact until she can string one coherent sentence together since she wants to take a stance to her 400M followers so badly.”
Fighting the Oppressor
Since her controversial tweets, Khalifa has defended her position on the conflict by reposting statements from others who share her views.
One such statement, originally from influencer Kelbin, described the attacks as “what oppressed fighting the oppressor looks like.”

Mia Khalifa rose to fame in the adult entertainment industry in 2014 and then joined Playboy’s Centerfold platform in 2022.
