During a rally held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday, Donald Trump seized the opportunity to blast his rival, leaving no room for ambiguity.
Standing confidently on the podium, Trump did not mince words.
Ron, You Are Gone
“I said, listen Ron, you’re so dead that if Abraham Lincoln and George Washington came back from the dead, and if they put their hands and hearts together and prayed… nothing is going to change. Ron, you are gone,” Trump said, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
Is He Overrated?
“I’m not a big fan of his, and he’s highly overrated,” he proclaimed to a receptive audience.
The Crowd Loved It
The words were delivered with conviction, leaving no doubt about his opinion of his rival.
Furthermore, he seized the opportunity to critique his opponent’s political maneuvering.
He Also Has No Personality
Drawing laughter from the crowd, Trump said, “The one thing you have to remember when a politician comes out with an initial plan and then they go into a corner because they’re getting killed… Well, he also has no personality. That helps, right?”.

Prior to his rally speech, he took to social media to express his disdain for his opponent’s recent performance in New Hampshire.

In a series of tweets, he asserted that his opponent was being “demolished” and claimed that his campaign was in disarray.
The comments continued as he questioned his rival’s support and enthusiasm, further undermining his credibility.
The Former President Saved Him
Earlier, in a podcast appearance, Trump emphasized, “He was dead politically. I endorsed him and saved him.”
Loyalty Works Both Ways
Loyalty, according to the former president, is a paramount virtue. “When you help somebody, I believe in loyalty,” said Trump, insinuating that his opponent had failed to reciprocate his support.
The Name Calling
The exchange between the two politicians has been characterized by a series of insults and name-calling, with the former president resorting to derogatory nicknames such as “Meatball Ron,” “Shutdown Ron,” and “Ron DeSanctus” to belittle his rival.
DeSantis Called Him Out
In a twist of events, his opponent, Governor Ron DeSantis, retaliated, calling out the former president for his hypocrisy.
DeSantis Reminded People of the Things Trump Said
He reminded him of his praise for Florida’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and how the former president commended him as one of the great governors in the United States.

DeSantis challenged the inconsistency in the former president’s remarks, highlighting the stark contrast between his previous commendations and the current barrage of insults.

Several social media users shared their thoughts on the incident.
One YouTube user wrote, “DeSantis is proof that just because you’re a popular politician in 1 state, that doesn’t mean you’ll be liked in the other 49.”

Another user added, “I’m not looking for “personality” in a president. I’m looking for RESULTS.”
