Although OP is a 24-year-old male, he has only met her boyfriend a few times due to living a few hours away from his family and not having much interest in spending time with him.

OP’s mom’s current boyfriend is a relatively affluent individual who lives alone in a large house.
In the past, OP’s mom has been involved with men who were wealthier, explicitly for their money.
Tricked Her Second Husband
To illustrate, she got married to her second husband when she was pregnant with her 17-year-old son, after dating him and passing off the child as his own.
She’s a Gold Digger
Additionally, several of her boyfriends after her second divorce were people she dated for financial reasons.
OP’s mom has candidly stated that she was with these men solely because of their wealth, which OP personally heard her say.
Spending Money on Her
Although OP’s mom has stated that she genuinely likes her current boyfriend, she has been accepting a considerable amount of financial support from him.
He has been spending money on both her and her children, and she has even admitted that he has helped her pay some of her bills.
Men Are Interested in Her Looks
Despite this, OP doesn’t condemn his mom for being with men for their money, provided that the men are only interested in her looks.
OP understands that his mom has had her fair share of difficulties in life and has struggled to provide for all her children over the years.
A Visit with His Family
OP opted to spend the extended weekend with his mom and siblings, and during his visit, he had a conversation with his mom’s boyfriend.
During their chat, the boyfriend revealed that he and OP’s mom had talked about the possibility of her and her children moving into his home, as he has ample space that’s currently unused.
Too Much Too Soon
However, OP doesn’t believe that this is a wise decision for a few reasons.
Firstly, his mom and her boyfriend haven’t been together for very long, and she hasn’t had the chance to get to know him well enough.
Moreover, if things don’t work out between them, his mom would be left in a precarious situation, frantically searching for a new place for her and all of her children to live.
An Unstable Childhood
OP’s childhood was marked by instability as his mom frequently moved him around due to her relationships with different men, not just within the same area but across different states as well.
OP doesn’t want his mom to put at risk the stability that she has managed to establish over the past seven or so years for something that is unlikely to last.

Although OP’s siblings seem to like his mom’s boyfriend, who is one of the better men she has dated (although that isn’t saying much), there are still some concerns that outweigh any potential benefits of them moving in together.
OP also feels for the boyfriend, who seems like a decent person but is being taken advantage of by his mom to a certain extent.
He Warned the New Boyfriend
During their conversation, OP raised his concern with his mom’s boyfriend about the possibility of her dating him solely for his wealth and what he could provide her.
