Conservative media personality Tucker Carlson predicted former President Trump could be assassinated in a new interview on comedian Adam Carolla’s podcast. Here’s what happened.
Speeding Towards Assassination
Carlson asked “Begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment, and none of them work. I mean what’s next?”
Right Conclusion?
“You know, graph it out, man! We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously. No one will say that, but I don’t know how you can’t reach that conclusion.”
Government Inside Job
After sharing his concern for Trump’s safety, Carlson suggested that the government itself might be behind a potential assassination attempt.
We Won’t Have It!
“They have decided, permanent Washington, both parties have decided that there’s something about Trump that’s so threatening to them that they just can’t have it,” he said.
Send Him to Prison
“I mean, they’re putting him on trial in March of next year in the J-6 case, which basically consists of trying to send him to prison for the rest of his life for complaining about the last election. That’s literally what it is.”
Collision Is Imminent
He continued: “Again, if this were happening in Moldova, the State Department would issue an all-hands-on-deck order to let the world know this is not a legitimate government. And yet our government is doing it. It’s really, it’s hard to overstate how bad this is, and I’m not, I don’t know where it’s going, but there’s a collision that’s clearly imminent… I’ve never been as worried about anything as I am about where this is going.
CIA Are Criminals
Carlson’s statement came after he accused the CIA of being “a totally illegitimate criminal organization unless it is following precisely the orders of the elected president” and that anything less is “the great threat to democracy.”
CIA Blamed for Kennedy
He even tried to connect the CIA to the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Carlson’s Interview With Trump
The pundit’s comments came a week after Carlson hosted an interview with Trump that was published on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Provocative Questions
During that interview, Carlson asked Trump if he thought he could be killed given the various congressional and criminal investigations he has faced in recent years.
“Are you worried that they’re going to try and kill you? Why wouldn’t they try and kill you? Honestly,” Carlson asked Trump.
Trump: “Savage Animals”
“They’re savage animals; they’re people that are sick,” the former president responded.

The responses on X (formerly Twitter) have been mostly one-sided.
X user Harry stated “No no officer, I didn’t say I want to see Trump’s mug shot, I said I want to see Trump’s mugshot”
Death by Food
Another questioned Trump’s unhealthy diet “to the extent a fatally clogged colon from too much ketchup and steak can be considered an ‘assassination.'”
Wishful Thinking
However, there were also troubling posts such as “Fingers crossed” and another user stated “for the right amount, I’d do it for sure. I know many others who would as well.”
Trump Still Favorite Despite Charges
This year, Trump faced four indictments related to his business in New York, handling classified documents in Florida, and his actions regarding the 2020 election in Georgia and Washington, D.C.
Protesting innocence
He declared his innocence for all charges, calling them politically motivated. Despite this, Trump, currently the top contender for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, chose to interview Carlson instead of participating in the first Republican primary debate on Fox News last week.

It’s worth noting that Carlson left his position at Fox News in April and started a new version of his former prime time show on the X platform
